Three acts, one atmospheric café: experience the rich Belgian culture in De Kameel
Inspired by our festival favourite ‘Popp-en-Route’, we proudly present ‘Popp-en-Café Belgique’. Instead of walking through town, this artistic journey unfolds entirely within the cosy, pub-like atmosphere of De Kameel. Move effortlessly between the indoor spaces and the garden to enjoy three consecutive performances, each with a distinct Belgian soul. The poignant puppet show Potato Heart (TOF Théâtre) follows a starving vagrant who finds unexpected companionship in a stubborn potato determined to survive. Meanwhile, instrument inventor Max Vandervorst uses a mere beer crate to conjure up enchanting melodies, and festival regular Joost van den Branden (Theater Tieret) debuts a brand-new production. Exceptional storytelling, music, and sharp wit await.
